Walking Ix (ee`sh): In the Mayan Oracle, Ix represents "integrity, heart-knowing, alignment with divine will, magician, shaman, jaguar, night seer, priest, torch bearer, magic." When I asked the Oracle what Star-Glyph represented my purpose in this website, Ix was the answer.

Holding fast to the qualities of Ix, this journal chronicles my spiritual path. On the path, I will occasionally write organized essays on spiritual subjects, those will appear under Pieces below.

mercury retrograde

I've been noticing a lot of communications issues the last few days. Problems at work. Misunderstandings with boy. Frustrations with internet and television. An inability to get things phrased the way I want. Feeling stymied and stuck and incapable of writing even though there are things swirling in my head.

So I went to the AstrologyZone site. I trust this site. I used to get monthly forecasts via e-mail from them and would spend time on the site researching other topics. I haven't kept up in astrology the last 18-24 months, but I thought I'd go check. Apparently the mercury retrograde doesn't start until August 28th. However, us Virgo types will start feeling the effects "as soon as you are through the full moon on August 12, far before Mercury actually goes retrograde ". Hmmmm....guess I'm just an early bird.

Of course, I don't believe in blaming all problems on the stars. They incline, they don't compel. I am responsible for navigating my way through and finding solutions. It's just reassuring to know it's not just me and I wasn't delusional. I guess boy is right in saying that I need to trust my intuition and believe in my abilities to receive and interprete energy and insight.
